Description: Tried to get a decent shot of one on its own but I was too far away. This is a big crop. Google maps shows the distance to be approx 1.25 miles-not bad for a 300mm lens on a 1.5x crop sensor.

Foilboarders

Description: These are "Foilboards" which have a type of aerofoil attached underneath. By manouevering the board in a favourable wind, the board rises up above the surface, reducing drag.

Description: Had a trip to Valley on the same day as Spinnies, Bangor (see Heron pics). A relatively quiet flying day-the day before there had been two Airbus A400Ms delivering equipment to the base. How I wish I'd gone on that day.

Description: This is the Iceland Frozen Foods helicopter. It was taking off from about 300 yards from my house, having dropped off the Finance Director at his (much posher than mine) house down the road. I was happy to get some slight Rotor blur in these shots.

Description: I got taken on a two hour drive, followed by a 15 min uphill walk to this place where military aircraft practice low flying.Seven hours later all I'd seen was two Texan T2s and this Apache helicopter, Flying there uis never guaranteed!

Description: BSB No 25, FHO Racing BMW. I went to the practice day on Friday for this weekend's meeting, going to a different part of the circuit to my usual spot.I had hoped to get some "knees down, elbows down" shots but only got one with both,(the 4th shot in this set).

Description: A dog in the audience got over excited and spooked the shire horse, it bolted and a judge in the ring decided to try and stop it. She was very fortunate not to get hit full on, but it shows the problems you can get at shows. I kept shooting and have the whole incident in my archives. About 15 images in all. As I say she was not seriously injured , bruising and shock.
