Apple gardens until December and January fertilizers and other work are completed.In the month of March, the flowers blossom on apple trees.And until the month of October all the apple gardens are filled with apples. Description: Walking round a local nature reserve with my macro lens on. I'd never seen these before & had to look it up. Their antennae are something like twice as long as their bodies (which is why I couldn't get all the antennae in the shot & it wouldn't have been in focus anyway) They were flying about in groups of 15 or 20 and landing on bracken plants

Description: Popped out for 10 minutes to mainly see what butterflies maybe about. I did not expect much as quite chilly and windy. Saw my first Small Tortoiseshell and Essex Skipper yesterday but no poses :( Anyway spotted some damselfly parked up, rude not to take a snap despite the grass flapping about in the wind.

One of the places on my list of must see in Iceland was the beach at Jokulsarlon where blocks of ice ranging from the size of a microwave oven to size of a car come out of the lagoon & wash up on the black sand.

Description: Kruger National Park has been very severely affected by drought which is perhaps why our animal sightings were somewhat different compared with previous visits. We saw very little of certain species that are normally quite common such as zebra and wildebeest. However, on the positive side we saw five leopards in four days three of which were in a tree with a kill. I have only seen a leopard once before and it required binoculars to get a good view.
