Website compilation software

Foxaviationphotography.co.uk is long overdue a makeover and update. The last time I revamped it it took all weekend and I was happy with the results but....maintainence is difficult when I add photos at random. Does anyone know any software that complies HMTL code from a 'Word' type of user interface. I currently use Microsoft Frontpage 2000.

Stephen Serif do a very reasonably priced software. I use weblus 9 which comes with a web manager. I haven't used mine to its full potential yet but for the price its an excellent piece of software and is very easy to use.

Here is my site its not very good as I haven't been on there since before christmas. It is rather crude at the moment I need to do a lot of updating this was created with web 8 which was only 14.99 I then paid the difference for the upgrade to 9 but havn't had the time to really try it out. http://ciphotograph.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/

I see there are no comments Stephen is it that bad, I have never built a website before so that was my first effort. There are loads of features in the program I must have another go when I have the time. Wedding preparation UH!

Might seem like a daft suggestion Stephen, but have you tried the "Save as web page" option in Word? I'm thinking out loud here, but could you generate the design in Word, saving the pages as HTML, then put these pages together in a directory sructure with Frontpage?

Probably a daft idea.

Christine ,I had a look at your website, the photos are good, but should you not include some text with your photos, just some minor details as to species etc,and with the landscape shots explaining where they are taken.I guess it is the time needed for these things.I tried to start a blog.A complete disaster. In the album called waders,I have a Sparrow pic!!!!.I do not understand the technology. It was supposed to be my Winter project.Maybe 2007,if I live that long!!!

Thanks Christine I knew there was something missing but couldn't think what that's why I have never shown the site. I should have asked for opinions I might have finished it. I had a go at writing doing HTML before I bought the software that was a nightmare. Christine could you see all the page or did you have to scroll to see the photo's, its fine on my computer but was thinking if someone has a lower resolution on there monitor they would have scroll to fit everything on one page.

I use dreamweaver MX for my website - there is a learning curve with this software but it is very powerfull and once you have your site up and running updates are very easy.
