1st attempt at macro

Hi, bought a set of screw on close up lenses for my kit lens. Cost me £4 off of fleabay. They seem pretty good for the money to be honest. What do you think?

Not bad for your first attempt, ki, not to sure about the close up lenses though, a better one would give you a sharper picture and possibly less purple fringing, you could also sharpen the pictures a little more.

Thanks for the comment, they are straight out of the camera. Wouldn't buy a lens as macro isn't really my thing but fun to play with.

Normally the advice is to stop down to f8 or f11 to maximise quality and then they are normally fine for casual use. Indeed with a good quality one they are excellent and who knows might whet your appetite for more close up/macro. More money :D

Thanks for the tip
