Sony DSLR-A380
 

Hi all,

Newbie here.

I'm looking to venture into higher-end DSLR photography, having previously only used models in the £200-300 range. I've stumbled across this model - http://www.camera-suppliers.com/u/pp...ra380l/2934297 - and wonder if it would be a good stepping stone? Anyone with any experience of it - is it a quality camera?

The direct competitors seem to be the Canon EOS 500D and the Nikon D5000 and from reading the review id probably be more inclined to go for one of these because they seem to be better cameras.

I don't currently have a DSLR, I'm looking to make my first move into that arena :) I may go for that Nikon, looks like I can get a decent price for it too - http://ramblax.co.uk/p~p-84704409.aspx
