I've always been fascinated by underwater photography and recently came across a photographer from Greece, so I thought I'd share some photos with you guys. His name is Nicholas Samaras, I am absolutely fascinated by his photos..

There must be so much stuff underwater, that's never been photographed! :)

Underwater photography is a lot harder than what it looks. What we see in these images are the creme de la crème of what can be done. Starting from dealing with clarity of the water to the right light and white balance...
But then thanks to the digital life and new generation of the Action Cameras that provide a very easy approach to anyone who wants to get a taste of this rewarding field of photo/cinematography, at very low budget with high image quality.
Yes give it a chance if you are looking into something different and warmer days are in near horizon.

yes amazing stuff, thanks for posting,I can snorkel but freaked out when I tried to scuba dive,so you have a lot of things going on when you are under the water taking photos...they are very talented people who can do this.

Thought I'd share this collection of jellyfish pictures from Alexander Semenov. I think they make some of the most fascinating subjects out there!

Amazing.
Totally "Unreal" and "Out of this world" wonderful image.
Admiring the effort made into creation of these image.

Unreal is right! I think some of the creatures living in the sea look more otherwordly than the aliens dreamed up by Hollywood studios.

Without question, a very daring place to take photos.
