Hello im brand new to this forum, Hopefully some one can help me with this. i own a Nikon D90 and very interested in macro and was just wondering is there a nikon equivalent to the Canon MPE 65 macro lens??

In a word... No.

The only way to go below 1:1 with a Nikon (as far as I know) is to use tubes or bellows.

Though I probably should have started by saying welcome to WPF :)

oh thats a bit of a blow, never mind. ive got a set of tubes at the moment but i want to keep the working distance. Thank you for the reply tho, like the pictures on your website also

I use a Nikon Micro Nikkor 200mm f4 ED IF Ai-S (Nikons best macro lens IMO) and I have found that it works great with the excellent quality Canon 500D close up lenses.
On full frame cameras the lens on its own only does 1:2 macros (1/2 size) but add one 52mm 500D and you have 1:1 (life size) macros with virtually no noticable difference in optical performance or brightness. Add a second and you get 2:1 macros (2x life size), again with virtually no noticable difference in optical performance or brightness.
Obviously you can use a combination of tubes and 500D's to get even higher magnifications but unlike the 500D's, adding tubes does lose you a few stops.
