I see that Canon have launched a new cashback promotion - £30 on a 500D, £50 on a 550D and £65 on a 50D. Looking at the prices of the 50D (a bargain at Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...cook/ref=nosim ) it could tempt some.

I got a similar deal, think it was about £40 back on a 500D. It tipped me over the edge to finally get an SLR and a 500D at that!
