Instagram

Hey Guys

I am really enjoying Instagram and the creative and mad pictures on there. There are so many different types of photographer on there its amazing. As a photo site I am a little surprised this hasn't really been mentioned, particularly when its now the largest photo sharing app in the world.

Who is a member as I would be keen to support and follow any members....?

I agree with you. I use instagram and am amazed at how easy it is to produce interesting photos using the built in filters. Would recommend it to anyone who loves photography.

I was extremely sceptical about it until I tried it. Personally I find it a little frustrating as the phone that I use it on has a very poor camera which limits what I can do. I am sure I could move photos from a real camera onto it but haven't done so yet. Some of the stuff that others are posting is really very good. I'm on with the same user name as on here. One of my favourite things on it is looking at photos that my brother takes, he is a much better photographer than me and now he lives on the other side of the world it seems to be the only way I see his photos.

See, your all coming round. I love the freeness and creativity of it. I think WPF should have its own account. I am happy to set it up and if those that post in the gallery dont mind, we could post the best pics of the day/week. We could then tweet and facebook them too and start to drive more traffic to this site and get it the recognition it deserves!!!

What say say you fair people??

Not having a smart phone of any description nor wanting one and not having a Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr account (whatever that is) I will not be joining in Instagram. Only got a camera for photography I am afraid. :( Still if it brings more people to this site some of who may stay then seems to be fine to me.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't spend all they're time with a phone stuck to their ear.

I do have a mobile but it's unlikely to be turned on more than half a dozen times a year. Unfortunately my work have got my wife's number so I still get hassled sometimes when in town o a Saturday.

You need a phone for instagram but there are similar web based alternatives

Its mobile based at the moment but now Facebook own it, it will become PC based too. I am not one for staring at a phone all day long but i do get the occasional app and this is the best one i have. Whats better than to see the world through others eyes from the photos they have taken and chose to share.

Dont write it off until you have tried it for a few days. The idea that you can subscribe to the feeds you like rather than be bombarded by crap is what does it for me. There are some amazing photographers and artists on there sharing their work daily.
