Digital compact - damaged?

Hi All.
I have a Pentax Optio V10, it works normally all functions etc., but when a picture is taken there is lines all across the screen? I assume the sensor is damaged? the live view is fine it is just when an image is recorded.
And ideas?
Anyone selling an Optio V10?!

Is the photo affected when it is down loaded and viewed on the the computer? If it is I reckon it is bust.
