file size?
 
Hi there all, i can't seem to upload any of my photo's because it's saying that my file size are to large. Can anyone tell me why this is or tell my how to re size please, many thanks, springergirl (gaynor).:)

I think all photo editing software packages have a resize function. I currently use the (free) Faststone. You can change both the number of pixels, and the JPEG compression, and will probably want to use a bit of each for saving to the web. (800 pixels wide & 70% compression should work OK)

Just Googled "photo resize" lots of software on web to down load, could add "free" if you want. Never used any of them but guess they all do the job.
One reason for not having large files they take longer to up/download.
I resize to less than 1000 pixels long/highest side and try to stay below 200kb file size.
Don't know what the max size for WPF is, guess someone will if you want to go to the max.

I've just checked the permitted sizes for attachments.
JPG files = 537.1KB max with no size restrictions.
Most other file types (including jpeg which I though was the same as jpg) are listed as 19.5kb 620x280 max.

Thank you for the adivce, i have found that i already got a program on my computer that does just what i have been looking for! it's just that im not technical minded, but thanks all the same guy's, gaynor.:)
