Advice

Hi i'm looking for some advice, I am looking to create a panaromic image (which i know how to do) but the challenge that i have set my self is harder than i first thought. On one side of the image i want a country scene, trees fields etc. and on the other a city, office blocks, buildings, glass all that sort of stuff. Still dosent seem that hard but i then want a road running continually through it and i want to try and achive this without just placing a road on after. I want the road to reflect the diffrent enviroments. Any advice or comments on the idea would be appreciated.

You don't want much do you Kuren  well for my 2penneth I'd consider the style of the 1930's railway posters where you had railway lines and trains running through a similar background, shoot pictures of each scene, choose the ones you want that show the ideas best then mask, merge and stitch. I would probably posterize the shots to make the merging invisible or if you are very clever fade the edges together. A Collage rather than a panorama stitch would probably be easier. Best of luck :)

Kuren, I'm not sure anyone else can help you. To achieve what you want is entirely down to you here. If you get out and about, plan possible locations from looking at maps, scout out potential sites, think about the time of day and position of the sun. You'll find your scene if you put the effort in. Good luck.
