Missing exif data

Just a quick question.....

When I resize images and upload them to WPF or Flickr the Exif data seems to go missing.

I resize in a couple of ways. If its a quick really low res resize I use VSO image resizer. I also use size for web in cs3, both methods seem to lose the exif data......My question is why, and also how do I retain this info whilst resizing?

Thanks in advance.

In PS whenever you 'save for the web' it will strip the EXIF. Just do a 'save as' instead. If you are working on a 16 bit image and want to save as a jpeg you will need to convert to 8 bits first (image > mode > 8 bits/channel).

When you use 'save as' you just stipulate the jpeg quality you want (the file size is show so just adjust the quality until you near enough hit the file size you want).
