Hmmm...

Strange that nobody has mentioned that Nikon bodies have a dedicated AF Assist light, whereas XXD Canons need to have the flash popped up and AF Assist enabled in the menu to get a similar...

A D50 for £400 and a Sigma 135-400mm for £300 leaves more than enough for a decent bag and an SD card (which the D50 uses).

For example, the Hama bag here...

I've seen plenty of great and crappy pictures coming from either camp.
