, I have a 18% neutral grey reference card that I got from Jessops - £5.99 I think, that I shoot when I want to set manual white balance.
It's also useful for stetting manual exposure in a 'studio' type situation - you should get a spike bang in the middle of your histogram when you've got the exposure set correctly
