You made me do a double take here Foxy then I realised this is feet. GN 21 in metres at 35mm zoom. Size may make it handy in the bag compared to 80-DX. A versatile pop up equivalent for the X.

Double, double take!

Guide Number (GN) is quoted on spec in metres and feet.

30/98.4 (ISO 200, m/ft), 21/69 (ISO 100, m/ft)

Perhaps a bit naughty to rate at ISO200 but lowest ISO for D40 is 200 - so fair enough.

I like the 2 AA battery part.

Foxy you really underestant the Nikon's language well. If I were Nikon, would throw you a D200 instantly.
