Default Look back over 2006

At this time of year, there is in the media a nostalgic look over the past year. Now we have had our year, so which photograph inspired you most, which one really had the WOW factor??

For me it is this one. 5 star Triple A. Submitted by mbkamrani

What a great topic for a thread. I assume all photos must be in the current WPF gallery.

I'll have a look and decide but it will be a tough choice.

I have two I'm afraid the first though isn't a photograph and its by malcolmA but for me, it has created the greatest impact and wow factor, the second by kokesch I think is stunning.

This one is simply fantastic, the story behind it is brief but I really admire Annette for doing this.

I think we should credit the owner(s) of the work as we post and admire.

The photo which I really remember as being truly amazing, was a shot by Mohamad,an evening shot in one of his local towns,I think it was taken from/or showed a cafe high up,and mountains in the background, and people in the town enjoying a night out.Do not know how to bring it across, but I am sure someone will remember the shot. There were lots of comments. He had picked up all the lights and everything was in perfect focus.

Nice topic Ian.
Agree with above.
I guess my greatest Wow comes from the interaction and fun time I had in WPF (Without naming anyone as list is extensive), knowing many new friends, learning new things, seeing sights from far far and near, experiencing things otherwise would not be achievable for me.
Easy to say one quality year added to the book of life as the chapter of 2006 is soon to close.
Happy New year to everyone.

I've only recently joined and couldn't go over all the pics and comment on one. However, the terrific photos on this site have given me an additional spur and a very high standard to attempt to reach. Thanks to everybody.
