Three must see photos
Three must see photos of a kingfisher.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...hing-sign.html Some people have all the luck, I've been trying for the past few years to get a decent kingfisher, but they're as rare as hens teeth around my neck of the woods. Harry |

How lucky was he to witness and better still capture that decisive moment. Stunning photos. Pretty sure he could win a competition or two with that set.

Do you really made those set in the pictures? What an awesome work! Anyway, I wanted to post pictures here soon. I'm just fixing my files and I want to show the related one.

I've stalked the Kingfishers we have in Malaysia for years but never been lucky enough to get fabulous shots like these!

I don't want to take anything away from the fact that they are great shots, but just how lucky was that?
Or did the photographer set that up? and just do a hell of a lot of waiting ;-) Paul. www.photographybyriddell.co.uk |

I would assume that it is a set up shot. If you can get a private site withe kingfishers they are (apparently) an easy species to work with. There are known tricks for getting them onto the perch you want them and for getting them to return to it. They are good photos but for me the use of a 'no fishing' sign is a bit cheesy, it has been done many times in the past.
