Default Polariser, circular or Linear?

Hi guys can anyone just confirm for me which is the best Polariser to go for.

I use the Cokin P Filter system and want to buy a Polariser. However do I buy a Linear or circular?

Nogbad I seem to remember I was told that you have to use the circular for digital but can't remember why.
