Default Canon on eBay

Have just won an auction for a reconditioned EOS 30D from Canon's site.
I am now told it is on back order or in other words the camera does not exist.
Any one else had similar problems?

If you go back and look at their feedback your see this is not the first time it has happened. There are selling futures, they know they well get a number of 30D cameras which the customer does not want back or won't pay for the repair.

Interesting, I've bought a few things from them in the passed and been very happy with the service, but I'll think twice for next time.

I may be happy with them myself if the camera turns up in the near future, but it is definately not within the rules of ebay to sell like this. It may not br fraud but its getting near.
Have a look at their feedback comments. they get an awful lot repeated from one buyer who give very good feedback comments. Then Canon give this person good feedback comments hence both get good total feedback percentages.

I thought that the Canon shop on Ebay had closed.

Christine,

I think I will, as yet I have only spent some time familiarising myself with the controls etc. I can see that the rapid drive mode will be very useful for bird shots.

Default Company outlet on ebay

I recently bought some binoculars from the Jessop outlet. They arrived in the sealed bag and were obviously unused. I would be reasonably happy with any of the big name ebay sites. My local camera shop uses ebay to shift stuff they can't sell.

Their items were only stopped being sold for a short time. Now there seems to be a regular supply (mostly two a day - black or silver finish) of the 400D selling at a usually small saving on the new price and higher numbers of the 350D at a much greater saving.
