Thumbs up Wein Optical Slaves OK for Pre-flash

Something I found lots of references to in yesterdays look at Brians multiple flash set up problem but could not find specific model numbers for, and that is optical triggers that will work with cameras with pre-flash. I am sure Christine or Rob has made mention of them ages ago but cannot locate their posts. After a chat with Mark at Norfolk Cameras today on the subject and I determined I would search for specific info on the subject. Mainly because Mark laughed when I said I would see if I could come up with a diy ND filter solution to cancel out the pre-flash for the readily available ones that are triggered by the pre-flash.

Finally I found Weins web page that identifies the products. Link

The two from there that seem to fit the bill are PND with a range of 100ft and PNXLD with a range of 300ft if you want to go mad.

Locating dealers in the US is not a problem but I have managed to find three for those in the UK.

Naturally exposure of any units triggered with these will be manual so will have to be individually worked out as there is no backward connection to the cameras flash metering system.

Feedback from anyone trying one of these would be good, but I have read lots of various forum pages today singing the praises of them so they must work as said.
