My 600/4 (and my one is bigger & heavier than yours ) wasn't as much a hardship carrying it around as I had feared... not sure why as it's a lot heavier than my old 500/4.5. The big problem I have is it's sheer size and how awkward it is in a hide (even with the 2nd stage of the hood removed)
