Default photography related social network

Hello there!

Beside the forum, that is really a lovely place to stay, I was wondering who is using also photography related social network to show own photo works and eventually to promote a owned website.

I'm interested in real communities not services like host photos and eventually print them out.

Beside the well know http://www.flickr.com/ that I already tried without satisfaction, I just find out the following:

http://photobucket.com/
http://www.myshutterspace.com/
http://www.picturesocial.com/
http://www.photography-network.net/
http://www.smugmug.com/

What do you think of them?
Someone used?
Experiences?

Hi there, I have had a good look around this site but have decided not to go ahead with anymore because it is a bit confusing to me so I will only be sticking with this forum as you all friendly on here! Thanks anyway, springergirl.

As only one member has replied to your question. May be no one uses. I don't so sorry no help. You could try a poll, not sure if that would be of any help to find if any one uses.

The more forums you are on the more time you spend/waste in front of the computer and therefore not taking pictures or experimenting with your camera which I would think should be your top priority if you want to improve your skills in that area.

There is one BIG one http://www.redbubble.com but it really is big and you would need to spend a lot of time and effort to keep things up to date there. I was directed to it a few years back when another forum I was on had to close due to the chap who runs it being in ill health.

Hi there...
I checked deeply so many websites and finally my decision goes for:

(1) http://500px.com/
(2) http://www.myshutterspace.com/

There is also http://www.picturesocial.com/ but is a perfect clone, a mirror of http://www.myshutterspace.com/ they did not even move or change positions of links and contents locations. Maybe I will consider later.

Hi there, As a full time carer I find that circumstances do not allow me to spend a lot of time behind the camera these days so I am often tied to the computer. I am a member of several sites : this site - WPF is my favourite social site, I also use Nikonians and Nikongear, pBase and Smugmug. For inspiration I also use 1X and ocassionally enter things there, never been accepted and the critique can be downright savage but useful.
