Default Make your Own Lens Hood

I found the link below while trawling for something completely different. Don't know if anyone has tried it but seemed useful if you are ever in need of a spare or quick replacement.

I think I have failed in the ' Blue Peter ' badge stakes. The version I made is about 8mm dia too big and only fits on focus ring. Not good for a Petal Type hood as focus ring rotates in operation.

Came back to check the link in case I failed to read all instructions ( I'm famous for that ) only to find the link no longer works.

The link is working for me (15:46) might have been a blip at their end.

Great link, I was looking for a hood for my 50mm f1.8, need to pickup some back card.

Stephen,

Just tried again. No joy.

I will do a quick review of my loft kit bag and may have a spare rubber hood that I can give you on Saturday.

Stephen,

I saved the template earlier. I'll just have to scale it down a bit. All a bit of fun really, as I have hoods for all my lenses.

I picked the 28-105 as that has a bayonet fit and not a lot of room to sucessfully attach so therefore a good test.

Hood for your 50mm is cleaned up and in front of me. It's a Hoya as I'm not giving away the Nikon.

Thanks for the lens hood, look forward to Saturday.

16:43 - still working, I am following the link above.

We use BT Internet services in the office as I imagine you do, not sure what the problem might be.

Just tried a Google, ' lens hoods uk ' . Every link I tried bar that one works.

Odd. Must be a cookie or some such.
