Default Weekend Challenge 19th - 22nd JUNE 2009

This Weekend challenge ------- 19th - 22nd JUNE 2009
Weekend Challenge, the challenge will be open to all members.
Topic: ----------- THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE / SEASCAPE
By that I mean NO evidence of human intervention at all - No sign of habitation, No field boundaries, footpaths, pylons, footprints in the sand, no sign that man has been anywhere near or interfered with nature in any way ....... Entries may be in B&W or colour - no manipulated images .....May I wish you all good luck.

The challenge will be run on (GMT) time, Friday noon (12:00 hours) through to Monday noon (12:00 hours).
The Weekend Challenge will close Monday 12 noon for posting photos, to allow time for a 3 day poll.
A 3 day poll will be in place in the thread, for you to vote for the best photo for that weekends challenge, the voting will end on Thursday at noon.
The winner picks a challenge for the following weekend and starts a new thread.

1. One photo per member.
2. To be taken during that weekend. (I hope you will be honest here).
3. The photo must include exif data if possible with date and time.
4. This may seem harsh but no comments from any members to be included in the thread. This will make it harder if there is a lot of photos for the voters to go through.
5. Post your entry as an attachment directly in this thread.

To create a poll go to top of thread and in Thread tools press Add a poll to this thread. Only the starter of this thread can see this option.
In the update options box change the number 2 to how may have entered.
In each box put the title of the entered photos.
In close poll, put 3 days.
Submit new poll, that's it done. Enjoy.

Tougher than you might think Andy - most of the landscape in the UK is not in its truly natural state! Will you allow us 'infuenced by man but not actively interfered with now' eg, moors (long ago cleared, maintained for grouse), heaths (long ago cleared, maintained by grazing),beech woods (introduced by man) etc? Or should I find a scrap of virgin woodland?

I have been thinking about it myself and agree Gordon, Influenced, but not actively interfered with now is fine as are Seascapes with the same conditions.

I am glad you raised that point Gordon, My thoughts exactly. Not much natural wilderness to be found in the UK.
