Default Stormy Weather Cranes

Here is an image done this morning at our local market on the waterfront. I did no brakets or anything. If thils was done in sun - even with clouds - the effect would have been lost - totally - along with bleached colours on the crane bodies. They are soft here - but in sun - I will not go there.

When I first saw this cloud effect - it reminded me - a little bit - of some paintings I have seen by Dutch artists - like Aert van der Neer -as one example - from the mid to later 1600's of a skating scene he did in this type of cloud effect.
