Bittern at Upton warren

Description: Not normally known as a co-operative bird. Normally known as very reclusive but a bit of luck came my way on Monday allowing me to get this shot. A bird I have always wanted to get an image of.

Description: On holiday at the beginning of October this year, after a long walk we came to rest by the Nanjizal valley (close to Lands End). It was incredibly hot at this time of the year so we sat down where this was a small amount of shade. Whilst photographing the surrounding landscapes a couple of good dog photos presented themselves with our two dogs. This is the first of them.

Grey Squirrel at Coombe abbey

Description: Not everyone's favourite animal but I certainly like them. This one came as close as three feet at times in front of the bird hide at Coombe Abbey, near Coventry, and just begged to be photographed so I had to oblige.

The White Church at El Rocio

Description: I love this place. The village is situated in the heart of the Coto Donana National Park in South West Spain. The village itself is like a miniature Cowboy Town with all the streets being sand streets and outside most houses are tethering posts for the horses.

Sierra Crestillina at Dusk

Description: Sierra Crestillina is situated on the Costa del Sol about 20 miles inland from Estapona and is home to a Healthy population of Griffon Vultures. This image is viewed from the mountain village of Gaucin.

Roe Deer

Description: I had travelled down to Burghfield GP's (on the edge of Reading) to try and find a laughing Gull when this, and another, Roe deer jumped into the pit and swam across it. Totally unexpected moment.

Description: You wouldn't believe if you hadn't seen this photo but Max isn't usually a lover of water but on our holidays on the east Coast of Norfolk this year he suddenly lost his fear and let rip. I was lucky to capture this moment as he tried to leap out of a wave that engulfed him.
