Description: X Spider - Mahachai Mangrove Research Station, Central Thailand 2007 This group of spiders making a thick central accumulation of web are commonly known as x spiders (perhaps because most of the American Continent ones, form an x with the mass of silk in the middle). The obvious mass web in the middle is supposed (theories) to distract preys while getting caught on the fine -almost invisible- web around and will be use to wrap and control big preys rapidly. BTW, the little red one on the top of the frame... is the male, who will become food to the girl after sex... God... thanks for not making me into a spider!!! ;)

Description: Mud Skiper - Mahachai Mangrove Research Station, Central Thailand 2007 For someone from the other side of the world -like me- a fish than wonders around, outside of the water... is truly a NatGeo image! This guys are everywhere in the mudflats here and birds do not even look at them... Principally they feed on crabs and are amazingly fast and sharp when hunting!

Description: This is a photo of a Buddhist Monk blessing and giving advice in the Largest Man Buddha Temple, in South Pattaya, Thailand. I humbly present this image as a gesture of sympathy and concern with that people suffering the oppression in the fight for freedom in Burma (Myanmar). I'm not a Buddhist, but I guarantee you, they are quite and peaceful people and would rather not eating to give you some... Good help them!
