Description: The lighting was perfect for this picture, but unfortunately the background turned grainy. I'm not sure why except for the dim light. Do you all have any ideas?

Description: My mom and I went to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware this past May. It is beautiful and is great for photography and birding. We had a lovely time. :)

Description: I took this picture the other day and just happened catch the chickadee with its feathers up on his head. I thought it was kind of amusing and wanted to share it. Also, I've been practicing digiscoping lately and have been unable to get a photo without noise in the background. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

Yellow-legged Gull

Description: Here's a picture I took of a Yellow-legged Gull while I was in Rome last month. This picture was taken near in the Roman Forum. The gull was sitting on someone's car and let me get as close as I wanted. It was a nice opportunity because it was my first time seeing the species. :)

Description: I took the photo on evening when the sun's rays were directly on some lovely moss in my backyard. Unfortunately, somehow the colors turned out really reddish and strange, so I decided to change it to b&w. It's also a little grainy now because I believe I shrunk it in JPEG format. I'm kind of dissapointed with it, but I'll try again some other day. :)

Description: This morning I looked out my window and saw that all the weeds in the garden were covered with frost. Immediately I ran out there with my camera and started snapping pictures; this one came out the best, I think.

Description: This is a photo of a morning glory in my garden. I was experimenting with the F/stop to see how much of the flower I could get in focus. I used F/8, but as you can see it's still not perfect...oh well, next time! :)

Description: This photo was taken with my Dad's Nikon F and a 55mm nikkor lens. I'm very new to photography and so my Dad has been teaching me some basics. :) Unfortunately, the scanner that I'm using changes the color of the photograph and the quality of the picture. I used photoshop to change the photo to black and white...It looks better that way. ;)
