Description: The worlds first rotating boatlift. Lifts boats up 35 metres using the same amount of power as 8 toasters.Replaces 10 Locks which took 8 hours to navigate and links the Union Canal with the Forth and Clyde Canal. The lift takes approx 8 minutes and the wheel is constructed on the Archimedes principle. Boat trips are available lasting approx. 45 minutes affording magnificent views from the higher level.

Description: Britains remotest railway station on Rannoch Moor. This is within the last wilderness in Europe and the station was built in 1845 when the line was constructed from Glasgow to Fort William. It was used for workers at that time. The nearest village is 20 miles away and today the station is used by Hill Walkers.
