Description: Following from my previous scorpion spider pic with two missing legs we found this smaller chap in our passage. (They seem to like our house). As with the other spider this one was very accommodating in letting me photograph it, even on its back � I will load that pic tomorrow. After our photo session this one joined the other one in the garden. (I established that this is not a crab spider but definitely a scorpion spider and basically harmless to humans, but I�m sure it can still give you a nasty bite.) - I don't have a ring flash yet and had to make use of the built in flash and white paper to reflect light onto the subject.

Description: I found this spider in our house. I think it�s a crab spider as crab spiders come in many shapes and sizes. I couldn�t find this specific one on the "Web". The poor thing lost two of its legs. It was also a clever little rascal playing dead on me because the legs were bent over its back as if broken and it didn�t move when I touched it with a piece of paper. However when I picked it up (with the paper of course) it moved. He (or she) was very accommodating and patient in letting me practice my macro photography on him. Not a great photo but I thought a nice one to share. Afterward I released him (or her) back in the garden.

Description: The beast � Electric fencing and what it indirectly represents . The beauty � the innocent young pigeon. (In South Africa it is the norm to have electric fencing on residential perimeter walls due to the high crime rates and break-ins.)

Insect

Description: This flower is less than 8mm small and I was playing around with my macro lens in the garden. When I enlarged the photo I noticed this tiny insect on the flower, which is not really visible the the naked eye.
