Description: Been trying my hand at portraits since the arrival of my niece back in April. I processed this one in colour but it didn't really stand out and it seemed a shame as it is a lovely pic of Ella. Converted it to B&W and tried out the lighting effects filter in PS and liked what I got. Wish she had been this relaxed last night when I baby sat!!! Would appreciate any comments and hints please.

Early Misty Morning In Bradgate Park

Description: Taken walking through the park on my way to join the masses photographing the rutting deer!! Conclusion for that day was that I really must upgrade my 22 year old canon 100-300 zoom and also buy a decent TC!!

Description: A wild Buzzard I photographed not too far from our family cottage in North Wales. I used a 100-300mm lens with 2X converter hand held so am rather pleased with the result. All the other pics I got are rather fuzzy!!

Poppyfield Triptych Re-ordered

Description: As kindly suggested by Nigel I have re-orded and do think they work better in this order. I guess the point of a Triptych is that each individual pic works on its own and all three come together too. Naturally the sky should be at the top.

Description: A friend asked me to photograph this bridge for her. She has fond memories of her mother taking her to walk over it when they lived in the village years ago and she wants a photo for her home. This is my favourite but she hasn't seen them yet. Hope she likes them.

Description: An experiment with 2 images combined in Photomatrix. The original images were taken using my home made big stopper (welding mask glass). The resulting green hue is not a problem in B&W but probably needs some work if keeping in colour. I'm not too sure what has happened to the tree above the bridge to the right but other than this I think I am quite happy with the result. Comments welcome as always. Thanks

Sunrise

Description: Took a leaf out of Trena's book and got up early to catch sunrise. It wasn't the best as far as the colour of the sky went so zoomed in on the sun itself. Not the best quality i'm afraid as I had the 2x converter on but there is something awinspiring about the sun when viewed close up!

Description: I've downloaded a trial version of Photomatrix to give it a try. This is two different exposure images combined and Enhance Painterly used with a little Gamma tweak. Please ignore the blemishes in the sky - very lazy editing of some dust specs which i'll sort properly when I have more time. Hope you like.

Description: Approx 30 second exposure if I remember correctly - was a long time ago!! No tripod used just a good sturdy wall and my dad steadying the camera. It was great to get the prints back from bonus print to see this nice result having waited a couple of weeks not knowing how it had turned out.

Description: Generally I would only take landscape shots. However, after looking through many great unusual shots on here over the last couple of weeks (since I joined) I have been inspired to try something different. So I went out with my camera today and grabbed these shots. I spotted the subject matter yesterday whilst out biking and returned today to see if I could do it any justice. Any comments/feedback on subject matter, composition, colour/B&W etc would be appreciated. Thanks Paul
