Wasp or hornet?

Description: Not too sure if this is a hornet or wasp. I wanted to get a pic from it's front, but after I asked it to turn, this is what I got.

Description: Lots of bees in my garden on this day. This one is the only one I saw with orange legs. Any ides? Steroids maybe?

Description: These horses are grazing along a roadside in wide open country on publicly owned land. There were no fences containing them. They are free to roam where they please.

Description: This was taken outside the provincial park entrance where they have camping. There's no hunting allowed, but the rangers carry guns just in case.

Toad River "hat collection"

Description: This is a lodge, cabin and campground place we came across in British Columbia. This is the restaurant part of it. The story goes that years ago two men were, well lets just say drinking. One got up to use the facilities and while he was gone, the other man stapled his hat to the ceiling as a prank. The hat stayed and one thing led to another. Now anyone who stops by is able to staple their hat too. At last count ( according to the picture, its written on the white board) there's 7479 hats stapled to the ceiling. Mostly baseball style hats.

Small rainbow over falls

Description: It isn't easy to see, but there's a small rainbow near the center of this picture hovering above the falls. It may look slightly off colour ( in the center), but isn't.

Waterfall near Yellowknife, N.W.T. Canada.

Description: This is one of the many waterfalls we came across about three years ago while touring northern Canada. At first glance the water appears to be dirty, but it really isn't. The colour is due to the trees that have fallen into the river upstream and are now leaching their tannin's into the water.

Description: A few years ago, I was lucky enough to travel to England/Scotland. We visited my daughter and also did a little genealogy work while there. This is a shot from Newcastle England. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
