Santa and Elf at the Fireplace

Description: Santa was also the Artist of all the background in these photographs and the Elf's dad was the carpenter! Santa also painted the picture on the fireplace. Later in the shoot the venue provided a long photography light which was good when I was photographing the children. I'm not posting any of the young ones as I do not have permission. I know I'm a bit too close here to Santa but it was only a small room. I used a tripod.

Description: I was asked to an event to photograph Santa and his Elf, I am well out of my comfort zone here. The lens on my 7d wasn't wide enough and I don't have a flash for my R6 mk2 not sure if my old flash works on it!! This was taken with the R6 with 24-105L lens. I'd welcome your advice. I didn't take into account the white on Santa's hat and the light about him. I'm not used to indoor photography.

Description: The Heron obviously wanted to be at the other side of the river where it stayed for over an hour as it was still there when I came out from an event I was attending.

Description: I was in Bushmills today (where they make the famous whiskey) and I noticed this Heron on the other side of the river. A dog caused the Heron to fly over just to where I was and sun came out at the same time. It's not often that things like this happen to me. I only had a 28 to 135 lens on the camera, so this is cropped.

Description: I travelled to a seaside village, near here to take a few pics but Aurora was starting to fade. Of course, once I got home it took of again but I couldn't go out as the car indicated I need my tyre pressure checked! Trip to the garage required! It's good to be out with the camera, after all these months.

Description: Well today went from a gentle walk in the morning, surfer stalking afternoon and surprise Aurora just after 6 pm! I'm only posting a few pics but will have some more up another day. To have Aurora in my own home town just pleases me so much. I tried the R6 but just haven't had time to work out the focusing for Aurora yet!!

WPF 20th Birthday

Description: Drumrolls and in the tune of 20th Century Fox Fanfare: A long time ago (Dec.11, 2005) in a galaxy far, far away(As a world leader calls it today: In an island of the "decaying" and "weak, Europe"!.... It is a period of Digital Photography war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Film-era-photography Empire...! No...Long story short and 20 years back, ONLY as I know it (And not sure how correct), A young programmer named Ollie, commissioned by wisionary Andy, writes a program that was a new concept for the day, a gallery for posting digital pictures for free for Public, the World, that seats on the web, solid, strong, and magestic, till this day. I get to join this side right in the same year, via advice of an unseen friend, Mo, from another Photographic sit, PhotoSig R.I.P!, and the journey begins for me in here. As a matter of tradition for me, over the years and whenever I could, for this Especial day, here goes my vote of appreciation to WPF and all who have been around, far and farer...with one goal. Love for Photography. A lot of photographic sites I used to be an active member of are only in memories today, but here stands WPF. May it remain stronger and lasting eternally... I'll continue on the first comment, and please share your thoughts, as I'm so eager to hear from those around. H-A-P-P-Y B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y > > > > W.P.F. < < < <

Description: Crop out of a bigger flock but I liked the way they stacked above each other. I am unfortunately back to more trouble with my eyes following the latest eye surgery which will require further treatments and they made the comment that I will never have good sight in that eye.
