Description: Grandson and I enjoying some quallity time on the Siuslaw River above Clay Creek. Camera is cheapo I carry for such occasions so that if lost it won't be much of a loss. Heavily cropped and tweaked in Photoshop. My son snapped the photo from his canoe. Canoe is Old Town 1971 FG 16'.

Description: I originally tought this to be a rare Fender's Blue. The Fish and Wildlife Service couldn't identify and thought it could also be a Silvery Blue. Oregon State University identified it as a Celastrina echo. Ah! Well! Maybe next time.

Description: Taken from moving RR car of the White Pass & Yukon NGRR. There was some glass reflection in this photo that could not be cropped out. Description: This blossom was photographed at about 30' with a telescope mounted to the camera. Very tricky as my tripod doesn't hold solidly in any breeze. Nor does the blossom for that matter. The camera is 8X and the tlelscope is also 8X...totals 64X. This setup tends to create soft photos with very blurred backgrounds.
