Carlton Bank in the Snow

Description: Beneath Carlton Bank, in Swainby and Faceby, there was virtually no snow. But up on the moor top, the snow was a good foot or so deep, and walking became quite difficult. With the sun shining, and a convenient cairn in the foreground, I found this to be an enjoyable picture when taken.

Description: Beneath Carlton Bank, in Swainby and Faceby, there was virtually no snow. But up on the moor top, the snow was a good foot or so deep, and walking became quite difficult. The black sky in this scene soon cleared, and the sun came out for a while.

Description: This door absolutely fascinates me. The barn on which it is found is in daily use, - and yet the door (this just the upper part) clearly need a bit of maintenance!
