Outback haulage

Description: Last year when on holiday to Western Australia and driving on an outback dirt road, I could see in the distance a large dust cloud and knew from experiance that it was some type of large haulage vehicle and a possible danger. I managed to find a small parking place and waited for it to pass.

Description: All the adverts and stories about Australia never tell you about the friendly creatures like the flies that swarm all over a person, they get in your eyes and up your nose and their favourite place is in your mouth, I've eaten more flies than I've had hot dinners. This picture does not show the true extent, they're usually three times more than this.

Description: On the St Andrews Golf Corse at Yanchep, Western Australia, the Kangaroos are abundant. The males can be found fighting over the females or just having a manly wrestle.

Hazards of Outback Camping

Description: I camped up for the night and before sunset I took a stroll and discovered this casualty, The poor critter had slipped off the rocks and broke her neck. The fear I had was that she would blow during the night, thankfully she didn't even though in the morning two Crows sat on her, and in desperation to get away I bogged the vehicle in soft sand and had a bit of a problem digging it out and get away from there.

Storm Damage

Description: Yesterday the raging winds throughout Britain caused death and destruction. This huge branch broke off an old Beech Tree and thankfully didn't kill anyone, but it did damage this ancient Pensby Hall that was built in 1683.

Description: After edeting this picture I tried to see how the perspective was in an artistic sense. My eye follows the fence-line to the right, then the sheep to the left and then right again along the Welsh coastline. Do you viewers get the same impression as I do.

Description: I found this frog in my greenhouse and it looked very hungry so I found a large worm and gave it to him, he seemed to give a great yell when he saw it and got very excited but the worm was big and strong and put up a great fight.

Description: Using the macro I photographed this flower using the flash against the sunsett and on editing I have over done it, and feel it gives an interestin aspect to the picture. Mabe I should have taken the picture with the sun more behind the flower.

Description: whenever I'me on a beach I search for some evidence of a gem stone, a diamond, emerald or any such like stone. They are supposed to be the hardest stones of all so why can I not find one. Ah well these wet stones on the River Dee will just have to be my special gems.
