Imam Husain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, considered the accession of Yazid, a drunkard who openly ridiculed and flouted the laws of Islam, an out rage. Imam Husain declined to declare allegiance to Yazid and moved from Madina to Mecca and later decided to proceed to Kufa where the thousands pledged their support for Imam Husain. But Imam Husain and his companions was intercepted as it approached Kufa and later it traveled on shadowed by Al-Hurr’s detachment until they reached the desert of Karbala. It was the second day of Muharram in the year AH61 (2 Oct.680). On the following days thousand of armed men under Umar ibn Saad arrived with instructions from the Yazid’s governor of Kufa that they should not allow Husain to leave until he had signed a pledge of allegiance to Yazid, ibn Saad’s men besieged Husain’s companions and even intercepted water supply. And so there dawned the fateful day of 10 Muharram AH 61 (10 Oct. 680) which is known as Ashura. At Dawn, Husain once more approached the camp of Yazid’s troops and addressed them with some emotive words that several were visibly moved and Al-Hurr –Tamimi who had first intercepted Imam Husain, threw in his lot with Imam Husain’s tiny band and and was first to sacrifice his life when the fighting began. The rulers of Awadh expanded the practical message of martyrdom to every person irrespective of Cast and Creed, and for this purpose imambaras were constructed. So, in Lucknow you will find an imambara built by Raja Jhaoolal Saxena and a Rauza built by Jagannath Agarwal. The heroic determination of Hazrat Imam Husain and his companions who bravely accepted the torments and the torture but refused to give allegiance to Yazid the notorious and wicked ruler. This is practical demonstration of the victory of the truth over False-hood,that it can lay its life but cannot compromise with false-hood. A quality which every conscious human being will appreciate and pay homage.

5 comments Abbas Wed, 08 Jun 2016 08:45:51 +0100 tree kingfisher at sunrise /gallery/showphoto.php?photo=75968

by: Abbas

Description: It can often be found well away from water where it feeds on a wide range of prey that includes small reptiles, amphibians, crabs, small rodents and even birds. The white fur caused by a lack of the pigment pheomelanin, which is found in Bengal tigers with orange color fur. When compared to Bengal tigers, the white Bengal tigers tend to grow faster and heavier than the orange Bengal tiger. They also tend to be somewhat bigger at birth, and as fully grown adults. White Bengal tigers are fully grown when they are 2–3 years of age. White male tigers reach weights of 200 to 230 kilograms and can grow up to 3 meters in length. As with all tigers, the white Bengal tiger’s stripes are like fingerprints, with no two tigers having the same pattern. The stripes of the tiger are a pigmentation of the skin; if an individual were to be shaved, its distinctive coat pattern would still be visible For a white Bengal tiger to be born, both parents must carry the unusual gene for white colouring, which only happens naturally about once in 10,000 births. Dark-striped white individuals are well-documented in the Bengal tiger subspecies (Panthera tigris tigris or P. t. bengalensis) as well as having been reported historically in several other subspecies. Currently, several hundred white tigers are in captivity worldwide, with about one hundred being found in India. Their unique white color fur has made them popular in entertainment showcasing exotic animals, and at zoos.

3 comments Abbas Tue, 07 Jun 2016 11:45:31 +0100 un filmed filming locations india /gallery/showphoto.php?photo=75883

by: Abbas

Description: Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden previously named as Model Floriculture Centre, Sirajbagh, Cheshmashahi, Srinagar, is the largest Tulip garden of Asia spread over an area of about 12 hectares.
