Description: Taken a while ago in Leamington Spa. I was struck by the contrast of the two large, obviously well fed, guys in the restaurant doorway with its "Just Eat" sign in the window, and the street beggars who probably struggle to scrape a meal together

Description: Day out at the National Memorial Abouretum with Ade G & Nigel G Spent the time there using a 35mm prime (50mm equivalent) - while zooms are more flexable, using primes makes you think more about your angles & composition

Temporary Armed Forces Memorial

Description: The Armed Forces Memorial ([URL=http://www.worldphotographyforum.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=73799]<<<see image here>>>[/URL]) at the National Memorial Arboretum is closed at the moment while they carry out some work on it. So they've had every block of stone, engraved with the names of those who've given their lives, photographed & printed on boards which have then been mounted on these 9 panels so that visitors can still pay their respects.

Temperature Inversion

Description: My take on the temperature inversion that we experienced at the top of Pike of Blisco. This is a 6 shot pano stitched in Photoshop & then converted to mono in Lightroom A temperature inversion is condition in which the temperature of the atmosphere increases with altitude in contrast to the normal decrease with altitude, and causes clouds to form at low levels in the valleys

Armed Forces Memorial

Description: The Armed Forces Memorial, dedicated in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen on 12 October 2007, is a nationally significant focus for Remembrance. It honours those members of the Armed Forces (Regular and Reserve) who were killed on duty while performing functions attributable to the special circumstances and requirements of the Armed Forces, or as a result of terrorist action, and those who died while deployed on designated operations.

GNR Building

Description: Shot for the "HDR" Challenge. The Great Northern Railway Corn warehouse was built in 1857 for the Great Northern Railway Company. It was designed by Nottingham Architect T C Hine in conjunction with the adjacent main station building on London Road (the Low Level Station). The design incorporated a major technological achievement - the principal roof spanned a huge void with only iron suspension rods supporting the first floor, this provided the maximum possible roof space for grain the first floor has iron suspension rods from the wooden roof, supporting the floor without obstructing the space. Hine used a similar system in the Adams Building, Stoney Street, Nottingham. The building was in the news in 2005 after The bodies of two women, who went missing within days of each other between Christmas and New Year 2004, were found six days apart in the same warehouse. The killers were caught and jailed for murder in 2006 - Martin, who took the lead in the killings, said he had wanted to become the city's first serial killer. The warehouse is now home to drug users and the homeless but it does fall within the East Side Masterplan for the regeneration of the whole area
