Description: an old shot, from 2010. taken in bannack state park, a ghost town in western montana. lots of old buildings, most of which are open and restored well enough for visitors to explore them. if i remember correctly, this old barber's chair was moved into the saloon.

space shuttle discovery

Description: this is the end result of over 100 images merged into one. every image looked somewhat like this but with people milling about looking at the space shuttle. the photos were taken with the same settings, handheld (tripods aren't allowed in the museum) from a bouncy cat walk. the images were loaded in photoshop, stacked and aligned into the same file and masks were added to remove the people.

Description: this was our christmas card a few years back. the "tree" on top of the car is a clipping from the blue spruce in the background. the snow bank on either side of the car is just tire treads where we'd driven through earlier.

babcock state park

Description: babcock state park in west virginia. the mill is actually 3 different mills found in various states of decay from around the state. they rescued the parts and brought them to the park for restoration. today you can buy flour milled by the working mill house. the building was from one mill, the wheel from another and the actual mill inside the building was from the third location. this is an older photo of mine, in hindsight i would have decreased or completely eliminated the stone on the bottom left. canon 5d mk ii & 24-70mm @ 62mm 1.3s, f/13, iso 200, tripod it was overcast and intermittent rainshowers when i shot this.
