Description: I don't know what to categorize this one because it was not a macro shot and it was shot by one of the lakes. I was out checking out the birds and wildlife around the complex I live at today and saw this fella on the sidewalk.

Description: The wife and I moved to Florida a couple of weeks ago and decided that we were going to take a few hours and relax today. We drove to Jensen Beach which is about 15 minutes from where we live at. I shot this shortly after we got to the beach. I did not realize while taking the picture that I actually got the sailboat in the picture.

Description: I was assigned by the paper to photograph the Holy Dormition Monastery over the weekend as they are closing their door at the end of January, 2021. The building featured is the Sanctuary building and even though I am not highly religious I am sad to see this place go. The property is going to be sold to a farmer and the building will probably be torn down. One group of pictures that I took was of hand painted artwork in the courtyard and it is sad to think that all of the work that has gone into this place is going to go away.

Description: Another one from the rally and another young mother is seen with her baby. A lot of the residents of Hazleton are from the Dominican Republic and sex trafficking, like around the world, is a big deal down there. I was sent to this as an assignment but left the rally wondering what more I could do. I contacted one of the organizers of the rally and asked her to let me know the next time they are having one and I would be there. I shoot in color but ones that plan on keeping the rights to i will convert to black and white. There is something about photos like this in black and white to me that make them stand out more.

Description: The little girls picture that I shot at the rally on Sunday also appeared in another shot. One frame I submitted with the rest of the photos for the story and the next frame I kept and am trying to reach out to others with the photo. The mother is one of the organizers of the event.

Description: I was at home and received a last minute assignment tonight. A out of state company wants to develop a area near a exclusive housing track and I was asked to shoot the planning commission meeting. Here is one picture that I took that the editor chose as the lead photo for the story. I converted to black and white (which is my favorite processing style) and as it appears on line in the paper it is in color which I will also share. The guy pictured was very admit about what a bad thing the development would be.

Description: I went out on an assignment last weekend for the Valor Clinic Stand Down. The Stand Down is a event where this group that works with Homeless Vets and Vets suffering from PTSD holds a help program for the homeless and those in need. The gentleman in the photo is a Vietnam Vet and he helps with the program. He has been with the program since it started.

Like Mother Like Son

Description: At the fire this evening I was able to take this picture of a young lady who is a firefighter with the Freeland Fire Department. She stopped by the fire and had her son with her. I got to talking to her and she is a 4 th generation Volunteer Firefighter with Freeland and she stated that she chased fires with her family when she was growing up. From the look on her son's face I thing the tradition will continue.

Description: This lady did the prayer dance at the Pow Wow and she was put so much energy into the dance. I watched as she was given pouches of tobacco and then at the end of the dance she took and put them in the fire. By the end of the dance she was worn out.

Description: I was out this past weekend trying to shoot photos for a photo essay on Homelessness in Las Vegas when the City got a Structure fire about a mile or two from me. This is of a Firefighter/Paramedic from Engine 106 going to work. The fire that he is getting ready to go to work at was started by Homeless Squaters.

Description: I shot this in May of 2017. This guys was panhandling on the Las Vegas Strip during the Memorial Day Weekend. The strip is not the only area of Las Vegas that we see panhandlers. I see them all the time at grocery stores, Walmart, and the local convenience store.

Description: This young man is a Firefighter Explorer for the Clark County, Nv Fire Department. I took his photo as he was setting up the Monitor Nozzle on "The Angel Fire Department" Engine 1. The Angel Fire Department is a Non Government Department that is mainly for kids who have health issues and the victims of child abuse. This young man was on the rig using the Monitor Nozzle during a Clark County Fire Department Open House. It is the best photo that I took that day in my opinion.
