I am 72 years of age, left School at the age of 15. First job was Trainee Bird Keeper at Chester Zoo. Joined the British Merchant Navy to travel the world to see the birds in their natural country. Last of the National Servicemen. Various jobs, like, Labourer down a Mine, Storeman, Bus Driver. Emigrated to Australia in 1966. Various jobs, like Long-distant Truck driver, Bricklayers labourer, Potato salesman, Senior utility man on a Drill Ship, Catering department on an Oil-field.
Retired at the age of 54, Volunteer senior fireman, Secratery of an Art Club, Vinyard worker, Fruit tree pruner. Owned my own house and smallholding. Sighned the Power of Attorny to my wife and returned to my roots with all I held in a suitcase and five thousand pounds. Met and married a childhood sweetheart and now live, owning nothing but my camera, and without a Bankcard and no stress.
I am of a sound mind and healthy, I don't take any medication, not even an asprin.
I recon I'me a lucky guy. |
