Lets act upon this guys and girls. We all have a mix of experiance and photograph different subjects so why dont more of us write a guide. I do feel we need a new section for this though.
Do others think we should have a different section for the guides? |

I agree with the idea. There is already a General Photograhic Technique Forum where they can be posted. It is just a case of suitably titling the thread. I started ' Flash Daunting or Fun ' in December and that is still running, dealing with topics related to the use of flash. We have another thread there about using a pc to remotely control your camera. It just requires the thread starter to do a write up as Sean has here. It helps if the posts there then stay reasonably on topic. Don |

No doubt as membership of this site increases and postings increase then the current how to threads will disappear in the more generalised threads posted there. A quick look through that forum shows a few ' how to ' threads. Infrared photography Night time photography Capturing ol’ Sparky Flash - Daunting or Fun. I have no doubt that although members may have initially bought a camera to photograph a specific subject, then through looking at the gallery and thread postings the interest broadens to include a wider range of subjects. The site was launched in what to a lot of us was, ' the dark days of winter ' and with the summer on its way the possible range of subjects will increase dramatically. Don |
