The red colour should be best during totality - between about 10:45pm and midnight - but will start to become noticeable as it gets more and more eclipsed

I am finding as the moon has got darker and having to give slower and slower shutter speed I can't get a clear image.

Anything over 1 sec and you get movement of the moon, so it's not easy

Great images guys.

I am out of it now as the X is not noise friendly at high ISO, so I am on 105mm f2.5 as my fastest long lens. :rolleyes:

Nowhere near what you are doing but I'll put it up anyway.

Rob, The bright spots are star trails as you track the moon. Amazed at a 2 sec exposure.
