Mostly not a problem with modern auto systems...but if you plan shooting in manual mode, it's something perhaps to keep in mind?

The Tamron is a f5-6.3, the Sigma 50-500 is f4-6.3. I used to have the Tamron & apart from the noisy zoom, loved it.

sorry, was a different Tamron lens (older version) I was thinking of with the constant 5.6! :o
