Brand doesn't seem to matter much with LCDs. Just buy the lowest response time you can afford to at the size that you want. And remember: a 17" LCD has approximately the same screen area that a 19" CRT does.

Softix, I ended up getting a Dell 21" S-IPS screen having been warned about TN panels etc. So far I am very happy with it as I was never that keen on widescreen anyway. Or not a widescreen that I could afford. BenQ look very nice but are also rather expensive.
