For what kind of photos are you using wide angle?
What research are you doing with wide angle photography?
Your purpose?

Landscape? Faces? Interior? Museum?

What else with a wide angle can be done?

I sincerely hope not. Not what most people would call a flattering effect. Try it and see. :D

Ultra wide angle is handy for interiors certainly. I also find it useful for exterior architecture as you can get whole buildings in without having to tilt and thus reducing the effect of converging verticals.

I guess most people will use them for landscapes, but it requires a very well thought out composition to work well as the foreground will often appear distant, even when it isn't.

Will be really funny faces maybe dogs or cats faces!!!! just an idea.

Anyway.... I used a lot when space is missing to get the whole thing.

Anyway... what about the focal distance?

I just check with my cat ... he did not agree so much actually and try to bite the Tamron!! :rolleyes:

I noted is not easy because the focal distance ... I should stay far but if I do that I will lose the effect!

I remember going to a lecture where the photographer was showing pictures of people on a trip in India, all taken with a 21mm lens :eek: (on film so a true 21 mm - 13mm eq on a 1.5/1.6 crop sensor). While they would not have been most peoples idea of portraiture, they were certainly dramatic

I love my tamron 10-20 ..... but better to limit it to landscape and internals!!
