Two things to think about there.

Just a thought Jim, to clarify my comment no2.
Pro sports/event photogs hang this sort of kit from their cameras. Yeah well beyond what either of us will use, but check out the weights in the specs to see the strain over time that can be applied to the body mount.

Without question, the Nikon F5 is one of the best conceived, well built professional quality autofocus 35mm SLR cameras I have come across.
