Hi Archie The Sunpak pro unit - I would expect to pay up to £50: I regard the one I describe as best for you, well worth The £28. The others I would not be prepared to pay above £20. If you go for the Auto 301 which I think is the best for you - it has everything you will need, it is designed for use with your camera and if it was me I would grab it with both hands and not worry about a bidding war on ebay. If you have not used ebay much, starting bids mean very little, and a £9.99p start price means the seller wants at least that amount for the item.

what makes that flash so much more worth it?

Archie, its complete with the filters. It has a swivel and bounce head so you can direct or reflect your light, its made for use with a manual focus SLR - which is what your camera is. It has an automatic or manual mode so you can select the amount of light you want on a subject ... Sunpak have a reasonable reputation as third party flash makers.... I could go on .......
