Head to your university or municipal library and ask for books about photography. Chances are they will have loads. There are plenty of good ones out there, up to you to find them.

hehe well was just asking in case there were a "Bible" of Photography, like if you want to know about Mbunas, Ad Konings is a must read.
But I guess there's way too many authors/ info about Photography. I've been reading a lot online to get the basics, and I'm still far from there hehe.

I'll go today to a bookstore to see if i can find something good :) just saw this on amazon

When your in Amazon type in D5000 and you will get books on your camera If you are as new as you say then there will be lots of things to learn about it

also a good idea is to join a bunch of groups on flickr, especially a d5000 group and ask lots of questions and search the archive.
